An Argument Purely Seattle

I posted a DVD player on craigslist recently, and had this correspondence:

DVD / CD Player with Remote Control and power cord. Menus / subtitles / multiple angle function. 45th and Latona in Seattle. Cash only.
------
I'm located in Laurelhurst and interested in your DVD player. Please let me know if it's still available.

------
It's still available. Do you want to pick it up tonight?
------
Possibly. Please send me the model number.
------
The model number is Apex AD-660. I also forgot to mention in the ad that it plays mp3 CDs that you create from your computer. Amazon review of this model here:

------
I'm interested but Amazon offers mixed reviews. Would you refund if it stopped working after 3 days?
------
The DVD Player has been working fine for me for over four years. But hey, this is craigslist. If you want a guarantee, go to Best Buy.
------
There's a chance I'll be there this evening. Let me ping you in an hour or so.
------
I was able to find someone selling a top brand for the same price so I'll pass. Thanks, though.
------
I figured all DVD players were basicaly the same, as in, they play DVDs. You seemed like a "name brand" type of guy anyway. Tomorrow, when you're at Starbucks, have a non-fat frapacchino in my honor.
------
Close - green tea latte with soy. Similarly, be sure to grab your drip cup o joe from Peets on the way to the Freemont flea market where you're sure to find a stand that will take your player on consignment.
------
Touché, sir. Touché.

Great exchange. I don't remember why I first visited your blog. I might have been on my way to drunk, also. In the cold, sober light of day, your pictures are wonderful. Oh, and the doggies are adorable. The grandfather-ish picture? Loved it. One of those that sticks in your head.
